In response to this most unusual upcoming festive season, Q&A (Tony Quarrington and Zoey Adams) have written and recorded a new jazz- inflected Christmas tune for these Covidious times.
The message of “The Strangest Christmas Ever” acknowledges the disappointment of not being able to celebrate as usual:
“Don’t wait up for Santa cuz he’s stuck there at the Pole…”
But encourages everyone to make the best of it:
“Take a tip from Frosty- be a jolly, happy soul.”

We all hope this compromised Christmas will be a one-off. And the lyrics conclude with that optimism:
“Sing a Christmas Carol and cheer up, kid! You’ll look back and be glad you did.”

World renowned flautist Bill McBirnie is a guest artist on the track, adding a lively solo.

This Christmas tune is a home recorded effort, as most new music is these days. (For the prolific songwriting duo Q&A it’s just the beginning of a marathon that will conclude with a new album of fifteen tunes written and recorded during the lock down, to be entitled, “Old School”.)
“This is great creative time- unencumbered by gigs and other mercenary activites”, smiles Tony. “And it’s time we don’t get back. Why not dig in and make the most of it?” adds Zoey. “We’re having a blast!”

The duo’s label, Sonic Peach Music, is offering the new track Strangest Christmas Ever as a bonus with the purchase of Q&A’s “instant classic” original Christmas album, “Christmas Dream”.
