ONE MORE THING Drop your keys on a grate they’ll always go down a hole When you reel in your bait there’s nothing on your fishing pole When you cross that bridge you never have enough for the toll And love is one more thing that you can’t control You got fired again so you go back on the dole You got your stick on the ice but you’re never gonna score that goal Life is gunning for you so you stay low in your foxhole And love is one more thing that you can’t control I can control my appetite so I don’t get fat And I can make sure I’ve got enough food for my old tomcat We can write a song and sing it in nothing flat But when it comes to controlling love- good luck with that Sign an air tight contract they’ll always be a loophole My Christmas stocking is full of lumps of coal All the hearts out there and mine’s the one he stole And love is one more thing that you can’t control I can control a bad hair day just by wearing a hat I control the heat in the room with a thermostat I can control my high heeled shoes so I don’t fall flat But when it comes to controlling love- good luck with that There’s never any sugar in my sugar bowl I’m gathering moss like a stone that just won’t roll All the hearts out there and mine’s the one he stole And love is one more thing that you can’t control And love is one more thing that you can’t control And love is one more thing that you can’t control

End of the Beginning Which way’s the river gonna bend You want to be more than a friend Is this the end of the beginning Or the beginning of the end. The picture’s changing can’t pretend The colours blur and start to blend Is this the end of the beginning Or the beginning of the end Just when you think you have it all figured out You catch a spark and everything you knew you start to doubt Our future’s rushing in faster and faster Could be delightful - could be disaster We’re perfect now- why try to change I think we’ve got a lot to lose We can’t go back once we go forward Be very careful how you choose Which way’s the river gonna bend We’ll go with what the fates intend Is this the end of the beginning Or the beginning of the end Just when you think you have it all figured out You catch a spark and everything you knew you start to doubt Our future’s rushing in faster and faster Could be delightful - could be disaster Don’t want to mess up this good thing Cuz loosing you I’d really dread The river’s gonna keep on flowing Like it or not we move ahead. Which way’s the river gonna bend We’ll go with what the fates intend Is this the end of the beginning Or the beginning of the end Is this the end of the beginning Or the beginning of the end Which way’s the river gonna bend   NEW? Passion is such a fickle thing It says hello then says goodbye When it is born it fans a fire And when it ends the embers die OR? (Passion must be a living thing But every living thing must pass When passion dies it’s gone forever Friendship’s a home that’s built to last)
